Rate Information

Classified Rates

  • Line ad space, up to 25 words, is $15.
  • Airline and airport employees can place line ads for $12.
  • A one-inch boxed ad is $20.
  • A one-inch by two-inch boxed ad is $25.
  • A one-inch by three-inch boxed ad is $35.

Business Advertising Rates

  • We can design an ad to fit your budget.
  • Color ads are $95/color (using spot color).
  • Pricing for 4-color ads is available on request.
  • Newspaper inserts are available at an additional $75/1000, with a minimum order of 5000 and a maximum order of 9000.

Deadlines
The deadline for display space reservations, classified ads and cancellations is Monday noon CST for the following Thursday’s edition.

Ad Specs
SPECS FOR READY-MADE ADS

  • Our newspaper has 5 columns. A full page is 10.375" x 11.75").
  • Ads must be saved in a press-ready PDF format. Do this by changing the Acrobat Distiller to PRESS under job options.
  • All art work should be saved as either TIFF or EPS or PDF file formats.
  • All fonts must be included with the file. We use Macintosh and not all PC files are compatible. If you want to use a specialty font, please convert it to artwork to insure proper output.
  • If you use Illustrator, convert all fonts to Outlines.
  • Do not use process black for text. Use 100% black.
  • If you are ordering a color ad, please convert RGB to CMYK (4-color).
  • Photos that are not cmyk (4-color) should be saved as GRAYSCALE.
  • Scanned images should be scanned at 200 pixels per inch and cropped to the final size. Higher resolution does not mean better quality, only larger file sizes.

  • Photos should be sent as JPG. All logos, artwork, or text should be converted to TIFF or EPS file formats. Send each photo, logo, etc. separately.
  • Do not use process black for text. You must provide a specialty font if we do not have it in our font reserve. We use Macintosh and not all PC files are compatible.

  • We will match your specialty fonts as closely as possible. Or, we can scan your provided text and save it as artwork. We can scan your photos or logos, if provided. We do not charge extra for any artwork that we do.
